  • DC 315: We are experienced in applying DC 315 thermal barriers over spray polyurethane foam (SPF) insulation to meet ignition barrier code requirements.

What is an “Intumescent” coating?

Intumescent paint is a passive fire protection measure. It looks like regular paint, but when exposed to extreme heat, it swells up to create a “char” layer that insulates the steel beams or substrate beneath it, preventing structural failure during a fire.
